With the major sports event UEFA Champions League Soccer 2012 coming up In Poland, Port Lotniczy Poznań-Ławica Airport is ready to process the explosively increasing passenger flow in June of this year.

In 2011, extensive expansion started for the airport to become a main port for tourists travelling in Poland. At first, a new arrival zone will be completed to be able to welcome football fans in spring of 2012. The second phase, a new apron and parallel taxi runway, will be finalized by 2013.

To enhance passenger experience and flow, Infologic was selected to provide her well known Flight Information Display System; a reliable and scalable system to provide the airport all means to expand with growing passenger demands now and in the future.

With achieving these goals in 2012 and 2013, Lotniczy Poznań-Ławica Airport scores big time in the major league!

About Port Lotniczy Poznań-Ławica
Built in 1913, Lotniczy Poznań-Ławica is one of the oldest airports in Poland. The northern section has been used as a military airport since its inception in 1913 as Imperial German airbase until 23 December 2009. The southern section has always been used for civilian aviation. The prospect of relocating the airport elsewhere is often raised as a result of the flight path to the runway being located directly over the city of Poznan. The airport caters for international, domestic and cargo flights and general aviation. With opening a new terminal in 2001, the airport can handle up to 1.5 million passengers per year. The new expansion will allow the airport to extend significantly.
